Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre is a dance company located in Toronto, Ontario that was founded in 1983 by its Artistic Director Deborah Lundmark and Managing Director Michael deConinck. The idea behind the Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre was to create a spirited and worthwhile home for young dancers to learn and grow and develop their craft. Over the years, the company has developed a reputation for taking young, inexperienced dancers and turning them into polished artists. Today, it is considered by many to be one of the leading training centres in the country.

The goal of the company is to prepare dancers for the world outside and to help them achieve every dancing goal they have set for themselves. Some of the former students and company members have gone on to prestigious schools such as Juilliard and Tisch in New York, PARTS in Brussels and LADMMI in Montreal. For any dancer to achieve success professionally, they must have a solid base and a strong foundation. Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre provides the start that every dancer needs to continue on to the next level and into a world of professional dancing. From the very first movements to the polished flow of an accomplished artist, Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre provides everything a dancer needs.
